Karen Healey Stables Wraps Up Oaks Blenheim Spring Competition With More Wins

San Juan Capistrano, CA – April 16, 2007 – In their third week of competition at the Oaks Blenheim Spring Classic Horse Show, Karen Healey Stables had another stellar competition and brought home multiple blue ribbons.

Tina Dilandri of La Jolla, CA, picked up another championship in the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers on Chanel 292 and was fifth in the classic.

In the equitation, she won the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search and the Equitation 15-17 over fences class. She finished third in the Open Equitation Classic and the WCE Medal class. Her first place in the jumper phase gave her a fourth place overall in the WIHS Equitation Classic.

Also in the High Junior/Amateur Classic was Tammy Chipko of Agoura Hills, CA, who rode Lottie to second place and Lucky Star to ninth place. She piloted Amnesty to third in the Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic.

Amnesty found a new rider in the Small Junior 16-17 Hunters. Michelle Morris of La Cañada, CA, catch-rode and picked up a win and a third place. On Eventual, Morris finished second in the WCE and the WIHS Equitation Classic, and she was sixth in the Open Equitation Classic.

Morris’ other catch-riding this past week led to big ribbons. Music Row, owned by Janet Wilde and trained by Phillip Cillis, was the reserve champion in the Small Junior 16-17 Hunters, and Morris rode Dearborn Stables’ Charade for trainer John Bragg. Charade was the reserve champion in the Large Junior 16-17 Hunters and finished third in the Junior Hunter Classic.

Shelby Wakeman of Westlake Village kept her catch-riding streak alive as she took home the championship in the Small Junior 16-17 Hunters on Darwin, owned by Audrey Coulter.

Malibu resident Yvette Lang-Einczig continued her winning ways in the adult equitation ring by placing third in the Equitation 18 & Over under saddle and second over fences. She was third in the USEF Adult Medal as well. However, in the Open Equitation Classic, she shined and finished in second place.

Assistant trainer/rider Kasey Ament of Karen Healey Stables got the ride on Victoria Eseke’s Sjapoo and won the championship in the 1.25m Jumpers. Kayla Siam rode Karma to second place in the CPHA Amateur Medal, while Kristi Siam took over the ride on Karma to win the Foxfield Medal and finish second in the Ariat Adult Medal.

On Team Harmony’s More Glory, Katie Hallmark won the Equitation 14 & Under flat class, was second in the Limit Equitation over fences and placed third and fourth in the Children’s 14-17 Hunters.

Navona Gallegos won the USEF Junior Medal class, was fourth in the WCE Medal and took third place in the Equitation 15-17 under saddle class. Skylar Nelson and Macy Grey led the jog for first place, as well as second and fifth places, in the Medium Pony Hunters. Sisters Samantha and Haley Harrison of La Cañada had top ribbons this week. Samantha and Santika finished third and fifth in the Low Junior/Amateur Jumpers, while Haley rode C’est LaVie to second place in the Onondarka Medal class.

Karen Healey Stables will show next at the Showpark Spring Festival in Del Mar, CA, on April 26-29, 2007.
